Went jogging for half an hour in Alexandra Park today. It's really an exceptionally small park, but very hilly. Topped up my Virgin-Card (Virgin's the brand name of a phone company, fyi). Finally sent all my papers for my BAföG as registered mail AND express mail. Let's cross our fingers everything works out quickly. Finally managed to withdraw money from a counter with my visa card. It's so helpful that you find counters everywhere. Though it's a little annoying that they apparently charge fees - at least it says so on the counter's display (and I haven't figured out how much that is yet).
New Vocabs:
-indorse (bestätigen)
-turnip (not: tulip, Steckrübe)
-kettle (not: water boiler)
-squash (speisekürbis)
-crockery (Geschirr)
-cod roe (Kabeljaurogen)
-Taramosalata (tastes good)
-Down! (dog command)
-booboo (Aua/Wehwehchen)
-treat (Leckerli)
-chives (Schnittlauch)
-zest
Don't worry about the fees. If you withdraw the money at an ATM that has the VISA-sign on it, the bank doesn't charge you. And if I remeber rightly, it even says so on the screen, something like we don't charge you but your own bank might (which they don't, btw).
